Since
the
first
time
I
met
Mr.
Edwards,
I
knew
there
was
something
special
about
this
man.
I
was
amazed
at
how
much
he
cared
about
his
players.
The
first
time
he
met
me,
he
offered
to
buy
my
friend
and
I
something
to
eat
knowing
that
we
would
be
hungry
after
school
let
out.
I
was
shocked
at
the
way
that
he
took
care
of
his
girls.
Two
years
later,
I
learned
that
he
was
going
to
become
the
assistant
coach
at
my
high
school,
The
Newport
School,
which
is
located
in
Kensington,
MD.
From
that
point
on,
I
knew
that
our
team
was
going
to
be
in
great
hands.
I
also
knew
that
Coach
Edwards
would
teach
me
more
then
I
had
ever
imagined
about
basketball.
His
knowledge
for
the
game
is
unreal.
He
taught
me
ball-handling
tricks
that
I
never
knew
were
possible
to
do.
He
is
always
teaching
me
something
new.
If
it
wasn't
about
basketball,
then
it
would
be
about
life.
He
tells
me
to
stand
tall
and
be
proud
of
who
I
am
on
and
off
the
basketball
court.
Coach
Edwards
has
always
taught
me
that
I
needed
to
get
an
education
first
and
that
was
what
I
did.
He
has
taught
me
to
keep
my
head
in
the
books
and
that
basketball
should
come
after
that.
I
took
everything
that
Coach
Edwards
said
to
heart.
He
is
always
there
to
encourage
me
when
I
need
that
extra
boost
to
stay
on
top.
He
was
always
out
there
trying
to
get
me
and
other
girls
exposure
to
play
in
the
top
programs
in
the
country,
and
get
that
important
education
as
well.
He
was
there
to
help
me
get
into
college.
Allen
Edwards
has
an
eye
for
potential;
he
recognized
that
in
me
and
helped
me
train
to
be
able
to
compete
in
the
collegiate
level.
Coach
has
built
my
confidence
not
only
on
the
court
but
off
the
court
as
well.
He
never
stops
believing
in
you.
He
will
not
rest
until
he
knows
that
you
are
playing
at
your
potential.
There
are
not
too
many
coaches
out
there
who
can
claim
to
do
that.
Allen
Edwards
has
been
a
very
influential
member
in
my
life.
I
will
never
forget
all
that
he
has
done
to
help
me
get
into
a
great
college,
improve
my
game,
and
to
help
me
appreciate
who
I
am
and
all
that
I
am
worth.
He
has
helped
change
my
life
around
and
guided
me
into
the
right
direction.
He
has
always
treated
me
like
one
of
his
own
children
and
his
kindness
never
stops.
I
owe
a
great
deal
to
this
man
and
I
am
forever
grateful.
Thank
you
Coach
Edwards.
