Known as a philosopher of the game, Warren has over 36 years as a player and a coach. Crutchfield is a University of Maryland Eastern Shore Hall of Fame inductee and a track and field Olympian. As a varsity coach, he has over 400 wins. He was the head coach at Sherwood High School. Currently, Crutchfield is the Head Varsity Girl's Coach at St. Vincent Pollalti.
