The Elementary Basketball League (EBL) is more than a youth sports program—it’s a movement dedicated to inspiring and uplifting young lives through basketball. Founded in 2012, EBL is committed to shaping the next generation of leaders by combining athletic development with meaningful mentorship grounded in core values like teamwork, resilience, integrity, and sportsmanship.

Serving elementary schools within the Houston Independent School District (HISD) and hosted at nearby HISD high schools, EBL aims to nurture 3rd-5th graders into not only skilled athletes but also confident, compassionate individuals. EBL coaches are HISD physical education teachers who are already equipped to guide and mentor, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for students to grow both on and off the court. EBL also encourages families to join the journey, offering parents the chance to connect, support, and make a positive impact in their children’s lives.
