In basketball, you don’t wait until the horn sounds to decide what play you’re going to run. In life, your biological clock is ticking — and God doesn’t want you guessing about eternity. He wants you to have confidence and peace that your life is secure in Christ Jesus.

A simple truth

Salvation isn’t about being “good enough.” We all mess up. We all fall short. We all miss shots. But God loves us so much that He made a way to bring us back to Him through Jesus. It’s not based on what we did — it’s based on what Christ did on the cross.

“By grace you have been saved through faith… it is the gift of God.”

Why “Final Buzzer” matters

A clock expiration in this life is certain — but your eternity doesn’t have to be uncertain. The question isn’t “Do I have time later?” The question is: Have I settled this before time runs out?

You can’t stop the biological clock — but you can secure your eternity. Here’s how you can know you’re saved.

1) Trusting Jesus

Your hope is in Jesus — not your performance. Salvation is received by faith.
“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.” — Acts 16:31
2) Turning to God

Repentance means turning from sin and turning toward Jesus — letting Him lead.
“Repent… and turn back.” — Acts 3:19
3) Believing the Gospel

Jesus died and rose again for you — He took your place and defeated sin and death.
Romans 10:9
4) Growing over time

You won’t be perfect overnight — but God will change you from the inside out.
“A new creation.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

Can I be sure?

Yes — you can. Your confidence isn’t in your feelings; it’s in God’s promise. In basketball, confidence comes from knowing the playbook. In faith, confidence comes from trusting God’s Word.

“I write these things… that you may know that you have eternal life.”

God, I know I can’t do life on my own.
I believe Jesus died for me and rose again to give me new life.
I’m turning away from my old ways and choosing to trust Jesus as my Savior and Leader.
Forgive me, make me new, and help me live for You every day.
